Pleasant lady at check in

You can hear everything from one room to the next. We were on the 2nd floor, could hear everyone walking around on the 3rd floor (all night long). Also could hear the over crowd of people at the pool till midnight.

From the minute we parked I was concerned with the safety of this location. Signs in the parking lot warned about locking my car and securing my valuables. Then I walked in and the front desk was "protected" by see through plexiglass type material. When asked the clerk said it was to protect the night desk clerks (and not from COVID.) When I asked about the parking lot sign and how safe this location was, the clerk advised that the local police usually did a drive through each night. I also asked about the $150 security deposit at check in as it was higher than I was used to. It was explained that the owners had just completed a multi-million dollar upgrade to the hotel and guests were stealing things in the room like the special desk lamp. Thus the need for a higher deposit. Then she proceeded to argue with me on a statement she made about Watsonville being the strawberry capital of the world. As I am from Florida and the local chamber of commerce publicizes that Plant City is the strawberry capital I mentioned that. She became very protective and said that's not possible. All around very poor customer service in my opinion. Then at breakfast, we were surrounded by what appeared to be construction workers or linemen that had stayed at this hotel - no families or other couples. Made me very uncomfortable. I question the safety of this hotel and would not recommend it; especially not for families for older couples.

The rooms where clean, however the our beds where not done on a daily basis.

The hotel/room were nice and comfortable. I did find some long hair in the bathtub and found the pool too cold to use. Breakfast selection was good and the coffee very good!

They put me in a Handicap room which smelled, really, really bad. Didn’t enjoy my stay at all. I wanted to ask for a refund. I might still.

Had a very easy, pleasant check in. The woman at the front desk was one of the friendliest we've come in contact with during our trip where we stayed in 5 different hotels. Everything was clean and she gave me the extra bedding needed for the pull out sofa bed. We loved the room and the breakfast was also great. I couldn't imagine it being better. The pool was apparently closed but we didn't need to use it anyway and wouldn't have had time. After check out we were on the road and the next days front desk staff told me I left my camera. The housekeeper turned it in immediately and we only wasted a half hour bc of my mistake. My camera means a lot to me and is very expensive. No way could I have replaced it so I'm extremely grateful for their honesty and integrity as well. All locations could take a lesson.

It was okay! However, the sheets had a stain on them which appeared to be from someone else! I brought it up to housing keeping and they informed me to tell the front desk! The breakfast was a let down, not what I expected!

Had to ask for the room to re cleaned as it wasnt cleaned before roomed but over all super nice staff helpful nice place to stay

Hot water was out, clod shower at 7 am, put on hold at front desk, had to hang up and get to work, coffee maker in room was also broken. Not what I expected with Holiday inn..

The walls are thin in this hotel, I could hear people coughing and sneezing. The bathroom light is connected to the obnoxiously loud bathroom fan, so if someone needs light, that fan has to come on. You can hear fans in other people’s rooms running they’re so loud, sounds like a jet engine. Also you have to pay a $150 deposit at time of check in, apparently because they recently updated the rooms so incase there’s damage, but our room had paint missing off the toilet handle and a chipped mirror already, which I had them note. Overall I wouldn’t ever stay here again, didn’t sleep but a few hours because of all the noise.

The staff was totally helpfull!... primarily the gal named sherry, she was very polite, and proffessional, i will totally recomend staying at this hotel, everything, was perfect!.. thank you, so much!...

Breakfast was OK pancake machine was out of order, no microwave to heat up your food, if you’d like it hot/hotter… this is the third time I’ve booked through Expedia and all three times I was given a handicap room no bathtub it feels like I’m getting the leftovers/or something they can’t give it to someone else…

The room was clean and comfortable and the location was great. The breakfast was very tasty. Maria at the front desk was so friendly and helpful ! She set the tone for our great stay at the hotel. Thank you !

likes: check in was quick; pool opening hour is long from 5:30 am to 11 pm; bedsheets are smooth and comfy; pillows have different soft and firmer types; microwave/fridge/safe are all available in the room; hanging hooks are in the wall next to the TV which is a good design for convenience. Dislikes: the jaccuzi/hot tub in the pool before was gone.

Everything went well. The room was at the end of the hall next to the elevator and pool. I wish we had been told it gets loud. Voices carry in the hall in that corner. The food was edible and convenient

A bit of a rocky start as the pool was out of order for day 1 then cold for day 2-5. Poor internet in 2 of the rooms but the staff were fantastic, moved us to to a better location which was better. Overall a good place to stay when you have small children with you.
