This was an amazing hotel and the staff was simply the best we have EVER experienced! They took care of us in every way and made us feel more than welcome! So friendly and helpful!

Everything is cared for especially the guest experience. Stayed many places in vail that I love. This one is tops.

Great location, very nice hotel

First off there were several positives! Great location, manager very friendly, breakfast was amazing. On the down side… Most of the things in our room did not work, all valet parked cars the windows are left down. When I requested my car they brought someone else’s, then I loaded all my own luggage. The woman supposed to help with activities at concierge desk was horribly rude and didn’t want to be bothered. The walls were not cleaned as walls were dirty though the rest of the room seemed very clean. More Helpful to select guests and it was obvious. My child was injured as the pool has little specks of glass in the wall that are coming out and a piece was jammed under her toe. Staff at time seemed mostly concerned with looking in pool. I had to yell at two grown men to get me a first aid kit for my bleeding child multiplie times before they went looking for one. Another guest brought me items to help in same amount of time. Then as soon as the employees got the glass from me they disappeared and had nothing else to say to us.When we requested a receipt we were told since we booked through Expedia that they won’t give us a receipt we have to ask Expedia. They also informed us since we booked through Expedia none of the amenities were covered so we were going to be up charged a resort fee for not booking directly. This was supposed to be waived upon setting up our Hyatt account but was not I stead they said they would drop it due to my child being injured but we had to complain

Great hotel in the middle of Vail Village. Perfect location. Don't need your car for anything. Fun ride up the gondola and hike across the top of the mountain. Staff at the hotel was gracious and helpful. A five star experience in Vail.

Perfect place to stay

My wife and I sayed here for a ski vacation. We really enjoyed our stay. Location was perfect located right at the covered bridge, and close to the shopping and dining in Vail village and only 5 min walk to the Gondola. Our bedroom was cozy and clean, staff is very friendly, and the continental breakfast was just what we needed to grab a quick bite prior to hitting the slopes (unless you prefer to spend $100 at a fancy sit down place). The heated bathroom floors are fabulous and we utilized the humidifier present in the closet. Only con was you could hear the town shuttles running outside until 1am with a room facing the roadway. The outdoor heated pool and hot tub were much needed amenities and both very clean and nice. The hotel was right across the street from our shared airport shuttle drop off at the Vail transportation center. We used the 8150 ski shop across the way at the Mountain Haus for our rentals and they stored our skis each night. We will be choosing this place again on our next trip!

Loved this hotel and the location was perfect and we were in the main part of the village. Staff was super swet and helpful too.

Great resort with a full breakfast included to get you ready for the slopes. Easily walkable to Gondola One. Great heated hot tub and pool overlooking the mountain to relax in after skiing.

Outstanding property and staff. I booked this and was not sure what the stay would be like. The staff is incredible. Breakfast is perfect and great selections. Only one comment regarding breakfast and coffee please offer a milk alternative (almond or oat milk). The cookies after skiing was a nice touch. Extremely clean rooms with all the comforts of home. Great location and the hot tub was perfect. The service and staff was the best I have ever experienced even better than 5 star properties. The location was amazing however the hotel was dated. Our room was very small with an odd smell. Overall the hotel was not so great but the location made it worth while.

The location is great, everything is close by. The included breakfast was good as well as having cookies in the afternoon. The rooms are nice and very quiet. We will stay here our next visit to Vail.

Cozy hotel located in the heart of Vail Village. Walking distance from shopping, dining and Gondola One for quick access up the mountain. We didn't have to use our car all weekend.

Everything was great but the room was hot and stuffy and ac unit didn’t really work so we had to open the windows for fresh air. We were on the second floor right above a major walk way, bus route and it must have been trash day. We heard people dragging dumpsters and trash trucks. Other than a noisy location and trouble getting fresh air , it was a really pleasant experience

Excellent place to stay in Vail Village, close to everything. Rooms are very comfortable, spacious bathrooms, staff is wonderful (esp Brandon), breakfast is great - definitely will stay here again when in Vail.

This is my first time staying at Austria Haus. Came up by myself from Denver for one night for a last day of ski season. Check in process was super easy and the valet Colin was very helpful and friendly. I loved that parking and a very nice continental breakfast was included with the price of the stay. The location is right in the heart of Vail village and everywhere is walkable. I’m not sure how the decor matches what you might find in Austria as the name of the hotel implies, but it was a traditional looking decor. I would say the building is old with some updating that could be beneficial such as paint a lot of scuff marks on the walls, the carpet looks a bit worn, but overall the hotel is spotless with nice warm living rooms with fireplaces. Downside is the pool is very small. I don’t know who would use it really to swim. The hot tub was equally small but I had it to myself on a Friday night so that was nice and it faces the mountains. Beds were very comfortable. The room was very warm and I couldn’t get the thermostat to lower to my comfort level. I opened the sliding glass door instead. Overall a nice experience and I would return.

Quality of the linens and toiletries. Also, continental breakfast included smoked salmon one morning and it was delicious!

Our family has stayed at The Austria House many times over the years. We have always enjoyed the location in the middle of Vail Village, close to the Covered Bridge & gondola. The hotel always has a fresh look & a friendly atmosphere, as if you were in an Austrian hotel. Clean, bright, cheery, with a friendly & professional staff, We always recommend The Austria House to any friends who ask us where to stay in Vail.

Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Collin was very helpful with our bags, showing us everything we need to know about our room, and parked our car. Pulling up the hotel was a little confusing. It looked like our GPS took us to the pedestrian walkway with a DO NOT ENTER sign. Pete in reservations guided us over the phone past that sign and to the hotel entrance. Thanks Pete! Our room was very cozy, and the hotel is close to everything. We're heading down to our complimentary breakfast now. Before we do, we'd like to recommend Austria Haus to you.

Great hotel! Very central to restaurants, transportation, shopping and hiking trails. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Large, clean, elegant room. Tasty breakfast. Definitely recommend!

Perfect choice, the employees bent over backwards to help us. We locked our keys in the rental car and they called and got a locksmith who showed up quickly. The staff were wonderful, location was walking distance to everything and the continental breakfast was an added bonus. Will stay there again! Vail is gorgeous in the fall.

The front desk clerks to the valet service to the people who prepared the breakfast. First class . Will stay there again for sure!!

We stayed here for our honeymoon. It was an awesome place to stay! Easy walk from the hotel to everything nearby.
