This is a an older, 1960s, motel that somebody is trying to make a hip event center. There are plans for more rooms, and a restaurant, I think. The outside is nice, the location convenient, at the north end of downtown Stowe. We passed through here, mostly just looking for a hotel, not the “Stowe Experience.” We chose T&C because it was pretty much the only room for less than $300 a night.
The good: The concept is great, re-using and upgrading an older place. Check-in was fine, with good staff service in a nicely renovated lobby area. The room was HUGE, with a large bed and decent linens. linens. It was pretty quiet, despite being right next to the road (see below). Walking into town for food wasn’t bad, about .5 miles. The bath products were nice and the keyless check-in was kinda cool (you code in to open the lock).
The bad: The room is WHITE. I’m talking Procol Harem/Randall McMurphy white. Like surreal white. Design is early-IKEA meets Goodwill. TV-tray nightstands, a used-looking dorm fridge placed next to the entry door. On the floor. A desk but no desk chair. Charitably, they are still working on the spaces, I expect, so perhaps this is still a work in progress. There was little or no art work on the walls, adding to the white on white theme. NO coffee in the room… you have to go down to the lobby (which mean you have to get dressed, like with shoes and everything). There is a little mini-market next door, on the highway, but other than that you are

This facility is in the process of an upgrade from previous owners. So it is understood there is some lack of comfort in some areas.

Good location and fairly clean and quiet. Bed and pillow not very comfortable though

Called about extremely loud music around 10:30 pm, said it's probably some others place near the hotel having an event. No it's coming from 2 rooms away, quiet them down.

Promotional photos are highly misleading, this is a much cheaper and shabbier hotel than it seems. Staying here was a very expensive mistake.
The furniture is cheap and falling apart. The shower/tub had a major leak. The bed is rickety and the pillows were cube-shaped, nearly impossible to sleep on. Everything seems to be constructed in the cheapest way imaginable. The window shade pulls down over the air conditioner, which is inexplicably installed on the top part of the window. That means you can have either privacy or air conditioning, but you can't have both. At 2am, we were woken up by loud clomping from the people upstairs just walking normally. Apparently the floors are paper-thin too, so the noise was unavoidable. The only positive we can say is that the cleaning people work hard and the rooms are well-cleaned.
Don't expect to be protected by the door locks either. Instead of a key, you get a gum-sized slip of paper with a 4-digit combo. That combo is based on the room number plus a constant number XX, so basically once you know those two digits you know how to unlock any room in the hotel, any time.
We asked the front desk to move us several times to try to find a better room, but after the third room we just gave up. Our first room was placed in a terrible location, squeezed between a bar and the edge of the swimming pool. Thank goodness neither were open during our stay, otherwise the late-night noise would have been unbearable.

They need to update their air conditioners, so noisey and really didnt cool room down. Also maybe a little insulation in the walls, music from somewhere played until after midnight.

Clean, recently remodeled. We stayed in a 140 square foot bunkbed room. It worked well because we don't spend much time in the room. Only complaint is that the sink is incredibly small.

Took 30 minutes to check in, arrived at 4:30pm and nobody on site, a sign said a self check-in email was sent, nothing in my inbox or junk folder, had to phone a number as they figured out how to check me in. Not a good start to my stay for the price of the room.

Check in after hours took way too long. Waited around for the email. Others were waiting too. Couldn't call the phone number, it was out of service. It was late and I just wanted to go to bed

Room was fine- comfortable bed. Some of the power outlets didn’t work. Room access is from outside like a motel. Housekeeping obnoxiously banged loudly on the door at 10am when I had do not disturb up. Check out is 11am- Some of us work evenings.

It was perfect! Cute and tidy, great service, quiet!

This hotel is under new ownership, so they're transitioning, painting etc.. But we had a great time, the pool is a good size, big enough for toys, lily pad pad, floaties. The location is perfect to walk to restaurants and shops. They rent big rooms, so it's perfect for families.

There was a state wide ban on travel due t flooding. Called office to state to risky to drive and said they were unable to cx . Asked if we could have credit and they said no

Good location, great pool area, fun game room, good coffee available 24/7, evening firepit and friendly staff all at a reasonable price. We'll stay again!

The property had extremely limited soundproofing so it was very easy to hear neighbors, especially from above. Our unit smelled like the whole thing had been bleached. The bed was also rock hard. I would not recommend this place to a family member or friend.

Really wanted to like this place more but there were a lot of issues in our room unfortunately. I think it’s fair to say you get what you pay for here. Stayed here for 2 nights in a bit of a pinch situation and booked last minute which was fine. The girl at the front desk was lovely and very helpful and personable. Our room was pretty rundown. The tv was broken and glitched out to the point we had to unplug it, the outlets by the bed didn’t work, the faucet was loose and wobbled all over the sink, the walls were paper thin.. we heard what our neighbors were saying and what tv shows they had on, and no drawers to put clothing in but they did have a couple of wall hooks. It’s a-shame because it does have potential! Can’t beat the location tho.

Very nice, clean and tastefully decorated. Couldn't beat the price. Beautiful swimming pool and lobby. Friendly staff. Happy with our stay and highly recommended. Only thing is there's no microwave or table in the room.

There should really be some form of air rotation or conditioning in the lobby of the upstairs rooms (56-60) it was so stuffy in there it took my breath away. I had to keep the sliding doors open. Perhaps a toaster and coffee maker in there too along with the microwave. Otherwise the rooms were great and the views from the upper patio were lovely! I slept great and wish I had more time to explore the area.

My husband and I had gone on a mini getaway to Stowe VT to help soothe our mental health. We stayed at the Town and Country Resort and we were very impressed with the room. Staff were fantastic! We loved the pool! And their on site pizza place The Deep End was fantastic on top of it all! We definitely intend to return for our future stays!

My girlfriend and I loved the town of Stowe and how everything was within walking distance! The bunk beds were pretty neat too!

Looked sketchy pulling in, but the staff was super friendly, rooms were recently renovated.

The room we had was very large, one dresser no closet, hairdryer did not work, the room had 3 queen size beds which were fine. Bathroom was small and had a weak spot in the floor by the toilet. Other than this the stay was fine.

I had been a bit concerned about the hotel prior to our stay, but was very pleasantly surprised.
The rooms were basic, but had everything you needed, and we're very clean. The bathrooms were older, but again very clean.
Compared to the other options in stowe, for the money I was very happy.

The motel was clean and convenient. The walls were thin, fortunately our neighbors were not noisy, but the music venue directly behind the property blasted music day and night. patrons were talking very loudly, sounded like they were in the room with us.

This hotel has no human at the front desk, only a phone number to call. The person on the phone assumes no responsibility for anything. We are being charged for a stay that we cancelled and are being forced to dispute this charge. We booked one night and are being charged for two. Very disappointing! They save money by not having a single staff member on site.

It’s nice to find simple when that’s all you need. No frills!

It was so comfy and perfectly placed in Stowe.

Good location in Stowe, ample parking, wifi was fine. Self-check in was kind of weird - there's nobody there and you have to figure things out on your own. Make sure you have a cell phone that is functioning because they text you your room entry code. If you have no cell or phone service because you're tourist, things might get tricky (there was no reception or phone - you need your own cellphone to call for assistance)
2.0
Great stay - walls are very thin and we could hear our neighbors settling a dispute. Property charges a hefty early checkin fee.

Room was nice but appliances looked run down and lots of bugs from outside got in. No front desk check in service and lack of exterior cleanliness.

Was a nice place , just wish they a person on duty but will say i called a number they left in lobby and person was very helpful but another person that was staying asked if i worked their , said they tried to call the number and wasn’t being helped .

The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was very clean. It was a spacious enough room with a small bathroom.
Cons: no microwave oven, no bathroom fan, no plugs close to the bed, no phone in the room, and the refrigerator was the tiniest I've ever seen.
2.0
stayed in King bed room 34. everything was clean, the room was updated. good shower. coffee machine in the office.
i called for a late check-in and was sent an email with a passcode to get in the room. I went to the lobby in the morning and there was no one around.
my only complaint is the bathroom door, it's been "updated" to a sliding door for no obvious reason, resulting in zero sound proofing for the person using the bathroom.

Town and Country Stowe is a great value for me and provides a safe, clean, and economical place to stay with very friendly and helpful staff in beautiful Stowe Vermont.
