Very nice, clean rooms that look recently renovated. Looks better in person than in the pictures. The check in process was quick and very friendly. The area was walkable with some nice things to see.

Questionable characters lurking around the property all night, arguing and being loud. Pretty sure there was a drug dealer next door , as people kept coming in and out all night making it very hard to sleep. Might as well have slept in my car. And on top of that they still have not refunded the 150 security deposit 2 weeks later. Plenty of other hotels in the area. AVOID!!

Extremely delightful stay beautiful, clean modern rooms and above and beyond care from hotels staff.

I was very pleased. This is the best bargain in Eureka. While on exactly in "Old Town", it is within walking distance of services and a short drive to Old Town.

We are still waiting for our deposit to clear. It should not take over a week

It was all super nice out check in guy was nice when we walked it the door and gave us the keys and hotel was clean and was live able for the night but I didn't like that they didn't have shampoo or conditioner so you can wash your hair

The property was fine. Clean, recently updated. The other people staying there were not considerate of the other guests. Yelling on the balcony in the middle of the night.

The toom was newly remodelled but lacked a table and chairs, utensils and pots and pans even though there was a stove and fridge.
Our experience was noisy neighbours and heavy cannabis usage on the property.

Nice room size but the hot water takes forever and the noises from Homeless people from 2:15am till 4:00 am near the hotel made sleeping a challenge.

The room was clean, but no hand soap, so I went to the front desk to ask or some, the attendant said they would bring it up, never did, so when I went to tell them the TV was not working, they gave me a bar of soap, but the plastic package was open, ended up going to Walgreens bought my own soap. They reset the TV and it took an hour but eventually worked.
The location provides for easy walking to dinner and some bars but definitely an up and coming area.

I booked a 5 night stay Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Eureka with 2 Queen beds. But when I arrived it had changed to a Motel 6 and they did not offer a room with 2 queen beds . They had suites with 2 queen beds and not available to me. I did not receive any advance notice of the change. Not professional Hotels.com.The smaller beds were very uncomfortable.

The help was great but the property is in need of a re-model. It's in a sketchy part of town.

"You get what you pay for" ONLY is acceptable if you still have a clean room and feel like you are in a safe environment. Our room was NOT clean...not vacuumed (trash on floor), dirty walls/doors, bugs on wall, room in need of maintenance, painting, picture replacement, etc. We can only assume people also live in this motel as our neighbors were loud all evening, taking guests in with arm loads of puppies at 9:30pm next door, talking loudly with neighbors outside our window after 10:30pm, loud screams heard not only from a mentally distressed person on the street, but also late night screams from a nearby room. Did not sleep well due to environment, was glad to leave. Also looks like motel is under renovation..at least lots of construction and room materials laying under first floor roof. Additionally, when we checked in at 6pm at night lobby door was locked and we had to ring bell to get less than stellar service from John, who appeared as if we interrupted him more so than greeted us as guests. Lobby again was locked and no one in attendance when checking out at 9:30am, with note on drop off window that you "... did not have to ring the bell to drop off your keys"...just leave them unattended, that's unsettling. Very disappointing!

This is the noisiest place I have stayed, people up through out the night smoking in front of the window so can’t have that open and talking. The room wasn’t that bad but had heavy smell of perfume. Pay a little more and stay at the Best Western.

The place needs maintenance, especially in the bathroom. WIFI service wasn't that good either.

The location and property felt a little sketchy. The surrounding part of town was loud and didn't feel very safe. The neighbors in the motel were not quiet and sirens weren't uncommon for my one-night stay. I actually thought a domestic was going on below me. The property itself was okay although it showed some damage and wear. The floors didn't feel clean at all and there was continuous condensation on the windows and walls in the bathroom. It didn't even offer air conditioning from what I could see.

This property apparently houses a lot of the homeless and indigent people from the community. The person that checked us in neglected to tell us that and would not refund our money after 20 minutes.

The place looked absolutely run down. Surrounding area looked like we had just driven into the wrong part of town. The staff informed me that the ice machine “broke yesterday”. There was multiple people coming and going from the upstairs rooms and hanging out on balconies that looked like they lived there. At 1 AM there was a woman screaming and yelling at the top of her lungs for a long time, I didn’t hear staff or police so it seemed to be an ordinary activity. The floor, door and walls were dirty, there was no smoke detector. The beds were supposed to be two queens but were actually one queen and one full. They were very uncomfortable and creaky. Then at 9 AM, the construction began. On property, there were very loud creaks, saws, and hammering. Then the employees, whose office was next door to our door, stood and had a lengthy conversation outside our room. Finally when we were leaving after showering we heard a jack hammer running 3-4 doors down the building from the room we were in. The 3 pictures hanging were all the same print.
I’ve stayed in some cheap, run down, old hotels in my time. But I never in my life would have thought that $100 would get me such an absurdly awful accommodation and a “we don’t care whatsoever” noise level. I live in Sonoma county so I’ve seen inflated prices and I used to ski and stay in Reno as cheap as I could-we’re talking $29 rooms. This was still among the worst I’ve experienced while it cost absolutely enough to be decent and normal.

Would not recommend. Loud ugly argument in nearby room. Did not feel particularly safe. Manager very nice.

People basically live there is not a place I would stay ever again. Smoke sectors missing. Horrible beds. Paint peeling in the bathroom no ventilation. No good place to plug in coffee pot. Heard people outside all night and the people above us walking hella hard on and off all night long.

Comfortable for a one night stay, it appears there are a number of full time tenants at the site. The surrounding neighborhood is run down and a number of homeless in the area. The manager was very accommodating.

If you ever had an idea what a tweezer motel looks like, look no further. I checked in and immediately left and rebooked at another place down the street. The room smelled like raid and had no A/C. Towels were dirty toilet dirty tweeter walking around trying to look in windows everything was wrong with this place. I don’t understand how Expedia could possibly allow this place their site. Stay away stay far away

Unfortunately there are too many inconsiderate long term lodgers at this location. Your sleep will be impacted, it is not worth staying here, pay a bit more so you can sleep. Only with a white noise app did I get through the night, after asking the disrespectful lodgers to be quiet many times. They also look very dangerous and are aggressive. I was concerned for my car, although it had no valuables, I felt because I asked them to be quiet they were going to break the windows in the middle of the night.

No fencing around the property. Guests dealing drugs openly. Desk manager was nice. Cheap and dirty part of town. For $150 / night, it was over priced.

It's an old place, but is being maintained and has helpful staff. It's a decent, cheap hotel in a nice location. The Vietnamese restaurant just up the road is very nice, and it is close to the waterfront as well.

It was scary going in the parking lot but the room was really nice and clean. They only provided coffee and shampoo. No handsoap, bathsoap, or condotioner.. othewise it was a clean room
