Centre Point Plus Hotel Silom

The room was spacious and comfortable for our family of four. The hotel is conveniently located, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options at good value. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, we had a great experience.

Breakfast was very good. Room was clean and comfortable, Ensuite is large. Location 5 minutes walk to Salthorn Ferry and Metro was Excellent, a short 50 Baht Ferry (frequent) takes you to many locations on river including Grand Palace, Watt Arun and many others. A few 7Eleven Convenience very close for supplies like Milk for Tea, Large bottled Water.

Our room had a River View through a single standard size Glass door to narrow balcony, no other windows to room. Room service did not always replenish supplies like tea Bags. No milk for Tea, bought our own. A lot of outside noise despite location on 22nd floor, this was coming in around that single door, /window to balcony, no seals, very sloppy fit. The area has very few reasonable eateries where I would be happy with food Hygiene, requiring Ferry of metro ride to areas with more choice. Foods Court under Hotel was suspected source of a Tummy Bug on first night! Local roads are near grid lock for a lot of the day, particularly Evening, and Morning Rush. If booking tours, avoid those with Pickup from Hotel, but opt to use Ferry or Train to collection point. It took an hour around midday to pickup from 3 locations within 2 kms, and over an hour after 6PM to drop off to 2 locations. Also avoid Taxi in busy period if train or Ferry will work (midday was OK)

The staff were especially kind and friendly. The restaurant staff , especially "Put" who was a trainee, was more than excellent. As was the young lady at the egg station. The man who looked after the elevators was excellent at his job, and always looked out for us as we came through the Central mall internal door. Also Mr Jack who was in the lobby was great at his job. Also friendly was Nam, who looked after the hairdresser, nails, facials and massage next to the restaurant. The Chao Phraya river view was a delight, and a surprise on the Thursday evening there was the fireworks display. I think it was in relation to the King. A lovely surprise was the bidet!! The buffet breakfast was delightful, and many dishes changed every day. The complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits in the hotel foyer was much appreciated. I especially liked the flower arrangements on the foyer tables - so beautiful. p.s The huge ICONSIAM mall can be accessed by ferry, which is a few minutes level walk from the hotel past the Sky train stn. On that same train you can get to Siam Square, Siam Paragon Mall, MBK which ended on the line to National Stadium about a 20 min trip. Senior fares are available. Chinatown can be accessed by the train or by ferry. This was not a upmarket and expensive area, but clean and tidy and handy to everything. Loved the sweet pineapples, cut up and ready to eat which was bought on the street just outside of the hotel.

Had to ask for help in getting the room tidied for the first 3 days. Had double airconditioning unit which was abit touchy. After that, everything was fine.

Im ersten Zimmer war weißes Pulver auf dem Bett (Waschpulver Rückstände?), nach Reklamation bekam ich anstandslos ein anderes, besseres Zimmer. Klimaanlage ist leider laut, ich habe schlecht geschlafen. Beim Frühstück Aufschnitt und Hühnchenfleisch sehr stark eingetrocknet. Nach Hinweis wurde mir das Frühstück nicht berechnet.
