Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge

Breathtaking views. Get the balcony room! Lunch buffet was delicious and well done. Service is fantastic. Water pressure was amazing. Nice hot showers, comfortable beds and pillows. Wish the rooms had a microwave and wish the resort had a pool. There is a microwave available by the ice machine on level 3 though. The hiking and water falls in the area are the best around!

If you want a quiet getaway with views that stop you in your tracks, this is it. The lodge sits right in the North Georgia mountains and the overlook is genuinely breathtaking. Woke up to fog rolling through the valleys and went to bed with stars over the ridgeline. What I loved: • Views: No filter needed. The lodge sits near the top of the falls area and the panoramas are unreal. • Activities: Spent the day hiking with friends and did the zipline. Trail access is right there, so you can go from coffee to canopy tour without driving. • Convenience: There’s a restaurant in the lodge with solid food and mountain views, so you really don’t have to leave. That said, if you do want to explore, there are other spots 15–25 minutes away. • Vibe: Super peaceful and low-key. Great for unplugging and recharging. Heads up: There’s no pool, so don’t pack your swimsuit. But honestly, with the trails, zipline, and views, you won’t miss it. Would 100% come back with friends or for a solo reset. If you love the mountains and want everything in one spot, book it.

Our stay here was fantastic. View of the mountains from our room was beautiful. The room itself was very clean and spacious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food at the onsite restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. Very convenient to go hiking along the different trails and of course to the falls. Highly recommend staying here should you visit Amicalola Falls State Park.
