Lovely spacious room, lovely staff
The new spa area was to be open but it was not ready. The dining was dreadfully slow due to a wedding party and not enough staff or management to run their best restaurant.

Very comprehensive breakfast in a wonderful dining room
First class though pricey fine dining
High quality light meals in golf clubhouse
Outstanding views of golf course and grounds both from main dining room and golf club dining area
Very comfortable and well appointed bedroom with all necessary facilities
There was a very large amount of renovation work going on around the spa facility with a very large amount of vehicles lining the approach drive to the main building and very limited parking due to the extremely large number of tradesmen vehicles parked during the day - also a bit noisy from about 0730
Work due to be completed by November

Fabulous hotel. Thus was booked for a special occasion and it didn't disappoint. The staff were wonderful, the welcome and attention made our celebration extra special.

Staff extremely helpful; set in lovely grounds; large bed despite small room. En suite good with large bath as well as decent shower. Welcome drink was from extensive list.
Rooms small although had a large bed; breakfast slow to arrive; kedgeree bland; the spa wass supposed to be opening the previous week and we presumed when we booked this would be up and running. It wasn't and no compensation offerred. Poor value for money. Car park not easy to find although we were offered concierge parking.
