Banig Beach Resort El Nido

Right on the beach!!!!!! Lovely decor, great pool area and fabulous staff.

Access to the property is not obvious and not as per Google maps, which caused some confusion. Eventually we figured out that the VERY rough dirt and stone track was the entryway. Off season so the restaurant bar didn't open? Only a small resort so understandable, but better communication from staff would help.

The room was very nice and spacious. The breakfast was made fresh every morning, very tasty and big portions!

The pool was nice but it was not as inviting as I would have liked due to the leaves and other debris that fell into it from the plants/trees above the pool.

The room smells like a sewer - they need to invest in water locks for their drains. They literally smell like rotting toilets. Breakfast is average. I didn't like the huge charge the hotel charged for a transfer to the airport. Five times what it really should have been. I didn't like being held hostage at check out as they went through the entire room to check the mini bar and for damage. It felt like a huge amount of mistrust from the hotel when we were guests, they had my card on file and I was sleeping there. It was an ok stay but there isn't a lot to justify the high cost. Pool is nice but small and shallow.
