Dai Nam Boutique Hotel

Great location for walking street, hop on hop off tours, really lovely area! Also great cafe next door for breakfast, if you miss the hotel breakfast which was really really well stocked!

There was a very minor issue with the birthday arrangements made on booking.com - I requested the birthday service for my mum, but on arrival there was only a tiny little reusable card, no cake/flowers/balloons as promised in the convo with the hotel on booking.com - went down to talk to staff who said there's no such service. I had to advocate for myself, showing the booking.com conversation and 1,500,000 VND I'd be charged, insisting this was the hotel who advised there was a birthday service - the staff pulled it together for me but I think their online information may be a good bit out of date but the staff can sort anything for you!

Communication of staff Upon check in, no one told us that our room had been upgraded. As the room looked similar to the one we booked. It was only when we requested if a late check out was available, Nha confirmed that we had to pay the fee for the cost of the room we were staying in & not the cost of the room in our original booking. When we tried explaining this & mentioned it was not made clear and we was never told about a room upgrade, she was not interested and kept insisting that we had to pay a higher fee. In addition, the hotel had no iron. They only offer an iron service which comes at an addition cost. Also sections of the floorboards were missing in our room.
