Location excellent. Short walk into town. Some excellent restaurants nearby. Comfortable beds Very well equipped kitchen and well maintained.

Prior to visit - received regular computer generated information, including a phone number, stating the hosts were only a phone call away if there were any issues. However, on day of arrival, I had a few queries, and as they were not urgent, I sent messages to this number via text. I know the host read them, but I was not even acknowledged, which I found incredibly rude. No response sent at all - I was 'ghosted' Please be aware, there are a lot of stairs in this property. As somebody with 'bungalow legs', I found the stairs a struggle at times. We became very organised in order to save our legs.

Location was excellent- we could walk everywhere in Alnwick. It was clean, well equipped, comfy beds, nice large towels and plentiful hot water.

Parking our (largeish) car in the spaces identified as "for visitors " was very tight indeed, and we chose to park across the road in the public lay-by. Had we fully occupied the house's five bedspaces, dining together at the kitchen table would have been very cosy- it's a small room and a small table!

Very squeaky floors & doors, dark passages by doors and in stairs well. Outdoor seating was right by a busy road. Top floor bathroom extremely cramped. No dishwasher tablets, no toilet roll in downstairs toilet. No WiFi code provided, we eventually found it on the router but extremely difficult to read due to the location of the router No indication of parking arrangements, and parking space very restricted. Lack of an information folder and user instructions for appliances.
