Dormy Inn Aomori Natural Hot Spring

It was my first time to visit "Dormy Inn Aomori Natural Hot Spring" and it was really exceed my expectation. The room was wide. It had a separation to 3-room; bedroom, toilet, and bathroom. TV was a wide-screen. Bed was really comfort and we can see Aomori bay from our window. The most exceed expectation goes to the facilities of hotel; wide onsen, free massage machine, free ice-cream and pre-biotic drinks after onsen, free ramen as a night meal. Also, the breakfast was really perfect and variety in western and Aomori local style.

Compared to other nearby hotels, it was far from Aomori station (around 10-15 min by walk). So, on the last day, we decided to check out and bring our belongings to keep at a coin locker at Aomori station instead of keeping at hotel for free.

Onsen was very good, fairly close to the station.

This hotel has it all! The onsen was the nicest I've seen in a hotel - it includes multiple open-air baths, a sauna and a plunge pool. There is free coffee in the lobby (and it's pretty good), free ice cream after the onsen, a manga library, you can get extra pillows of different types, the beds are comfortable and the rooms are relatively spacious, you can do laundry for free (clothes dryer is 100yen). There are FREE massage chairs! The breakfast was really great too (though it's not cheap). The curtains are true black out curtains and with the window shut it's extremely quiet. Aircon in the room works great. Short walk from the station on a main road with many different shops/restaurants around, and short walk to see the sea as well.

It would have been good if the fridge had been turned on since there were welcome puddings in there. We assumed it was on for that reason and put our lunch in their for our hike the next day but had to throw it out when we discovered you actually need to switch the fridge on yourself. Appreciate saving electricity but could have been made clearer. Would also be good in summer if the duvet was a bit thinner.

Great staff, great room and amenities. Fantastic spa. My sister is now a fan of Dormy Inns
