Amrise Hotel Kitchener

Price was cheap. Room was cleaned every day to high standard.

On arrival staff was not friendly and insisted on cash deposit. Signage indicated that there had been problems at this hotel. Room had a mini style price list of items if damaged. When asked man at reception if it was a bad area, he replied without hesitation “Yes”

We are here with senior citizens and kids (9, 8, 6, and 5 years old), all 8 pax. The location is in the middle of the city. Easy to move, 10 minutes' walk from Jalan Besar MRT. It's a 15-20 minute walk to the Bugis area. The room is quite big compared to other rooms; as Muslims, we have an area to pray. We chose a connecting room because we have kids to monitor all the time. Thank you to the staff for giving us an extra access card as we requested, because the 2 connecting rooms are not on the same level. The staff helps us when there are problems with the TV and remote.

the things that this hotel doesn't have: a bidet. But there's still a water hose from the shower area.

The staff were helpful and managed to arrange a better room for me the next day.

The facilities need to be improved. I had to look at three different rooms in total within a day and stayed in a temporary room for one night on my first day. However, the room was made up by the staff when I didn’t request it, and it wasn’t made up when I specifically requested housekeeping.
