We had an absolutely fantastic stay in Dullstroom. The house is extremely modern, beautifully furnished and genuinely feels luxurious from the moment you walk in. There is loads of space, and everything has been thought through really well. The amenities were exceptional. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped with more than enough cutlery, crockery and premium glassware, and even an ice machine, which was a great touch. It honestly had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable weekend away. The outdoor area was just as impressive, with a fantastic braai area, pizza oven and campfire space. The pizza oven was a particular highlight, and the campfire was perfect for relaxing around in the evenings with a few drinks. It really made the house feel like the perfect place for a group getaway. The owner was incredibly accommodating and was kind enough to let us check out a little later so that we could stay and watch the Springbok game. We really appreciated the flexibility. Maria, the cleaner, was also extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which added to the overall experience. The house is beautifully maintained, comfortable and has a great atmosphere. It’s clear that a lot of thought and attention to detail has gone into making the stay enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious, modern and exceptionally well-equipped place to stay in Dullstroom.

A couple of things to note: The WiFi was quite intermittent and cut out from time to time, although we didn’t expect it to be perfect given how far out of Johannesburg the property is. The outdoor deck is beautiful and the uninterrupted views are fantastic, but we feel that a guardrail along the open side would be a worthwhile safety improvement. A fall from the edge could potentially be quite serious, particularly for children. A swimming pool or hot tub would also be a fantastic addition to the property and would make an already great getaway even better, especially for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

It’s architecturally beautiful, very well decorated, and has all the right features.

It is remote and it’s not in the security estate so safety can be a concern.

One cannot fault the estate or the scenery. The house is extremely comfortable and every need is catered for. The fittings and furnishings are of exceptional quality and tasteful.

It would have been nice to receive some supplies for the first day, like wood and coffee capsules, dishwashing tablets (these were provided the next morning), especially considering the price range of the property. We've become used to these basics being provided. We found the lighting in the living areas inadequate, especially in the kitchen. We are foodies and it was difficult to cook and chop.

The Unit is awesome, and the views are beautiful.
