Le Vert Angkor Hotel

I came to Siem Reap during my third burnout, looking for somewhere to rest for ten days. It was my first visit, and Le Vert exceeded my expectations. The welcome was personal. DeePool, the hotel manager, greeted me himself and made sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. After struggling to rest properly, I could finally sleep uninterrupted, like a baby. The location offers a lovely balance: the night market and Pub Street are within easy walking distance, as are supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, and community spaces. Yet despite being so close to everything, the hotel is remarkably quiet. For me, that was its greatest luxury. What stayed with me most, though, was the warmth of the people. The hotel staff and everyone I encountered around the hotel were super friendly and accommodating. Le Vert gave me exactly what I had come for: comfort, quiet, and the space to finally rest. I’d happily recommend Le Vert to anyone who prefers balance like me: close enough to enjoy the city, quiet enough to properly rest, and warmly looked after throughout the stay.

I was a bit adventurous with food during my stay and spent much of my time trying the restaurants around the hotel. The hotel’s food was decent, though I felt the breakfast selection could offer a little more variety. I heard improvements are already planned, which is good to know. My favourite was the Khmer noodle soup, a breakfast I’d happily have again.

- I stayed here for 2 weeks, and I honestly am very happy I picked this hotel. I am actually now a bit dissatisfied with the other hotels I've stayed at / am staying at because of this one. - The property and room were as expected, or actually better than. - This was at a very good location, near restaurants with good food and very affordable. It's also near Phsar Khmer, a food court that presents traditional shows every night. The river is pretty close, and in the evening you can go there to eat at the riverside stalls. It's only about 5 minutes' tuktuk ride from Wat Bo, with all the nice cafes. - My room had trouble with power due to a combination of power-saving measures (by the local government?) + maintenance work, so the room's power somehow just kept failing. The staff rectified it immediately and upgraded me to a better room with working power. - You can select 8 different dishes (4 western and 4 khmer) for breakfast, and all were very good. There are also days when they do buffets so you can try everything. If you want something else, there are cafes and restaurants nearby. - The hotel offers a laundry service for $2 per kilogram, which is very reasonable. None of that per-item nonsense done by other hotels. - The staff were very friendly, smart, and anticipated my needs ahead of time always. I honestly wish I could have given more to the tip box, but I was out of cash by the time I checked out. - They always make sure to give me an umbrella when it's raining out, even when I forget to ask. - I had a friend drop by for a couple of hours because she checked out from her hotel and needed somewhere to hang out before going to the airport, and they were very helpful to my friend as well and even helped carry her luggage!) - Housekeeping was amazing too I would definitely book this hotel again if I'm ever back in Siem Reap
