Edgar Suites - Bouchardon

1) Loved the location: hotel located within walking distance of everything we wanted to see in a lively, friendly area with plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and market. 2) Everywhere very clean. 3) Spacious bedroom with large, comfortable bed, decent pillows/bedding and opening windows. Our apartment faced onto an internal, residential courtyard and was very quiet at night time. 4) Storage lockers in basement available for use after checkout. 5) Good selection of crockery, cutlery, utensils, S+P etc 6) Doesn't allow dogs, which is a big bonus as it is often hard to find dog-free hotels

1) Living/dining area very tight and a bit uncomfortable, like sitting in a caravan. Fine for breakfast but I don't think you'd want to relax there and you can't work there because the lighting is poor and there are no sockets at all in the living area. 2) Kitchenette very small with nowhere to prep food and no dishwasher. However, it is perfectly adequate for breakfast/light meals and nice to have a fridge. 3) Bathroom tiles, particularly in the shower are high gloss and extremely slippery when wet: this is a suggestion more then anything as easily solved with an optional rubber shower mat. 4) Not enough towels. We put this down to misunderstanding but we were only provided with one towel (1-bathsheet) and a flannel/face cloth each. We did request a second one but housekeeping just left us a second set of flannels. Not a massive problem but I have long hair and for 4-nights, we really could have done with two full sets of towels (one bath-sheet, one for hair and one flannel/face cloth), as is usual in a hotel. However, minor niggles aside, we were generally happy and had a good stay in clean, self-contained accommodation in a very pleasant area.

Location OK. Liked that it was 2 bedrooms.

Low ceilings in many angles. Fire alarm going off repeatedly. Master bedroom overhead lights didn’t work. Coffee quantity provided was insufficient.

Great location, still nice and quiet - perfect air con and facilities - would 100% book again

Nothing - everything great

The room was spacious, comfortable, had everything we needed. The AC worked really well.

Loved everything, but the dryer in the basement didn’t work so the clothes we washed couldn’t be properly dried
