It is an interesting experience of being in a home full of history

Would have liked to have espresso after 5pm; no coffee machine available.

We loved the magical atmosphere and architecture of the place just as much as the two absolutely adorable dogs Johnny and Bella! It's a unique and unforgettable place with many details and a homely feel. With only a few rooms it feels quiet and relaxed, sometimes we had the whole outside area to ourselves! We felt very grateful for being able to stay in the public areas half a day after check out before our flight. The surrounding mountains are amazing and you feel very much in nature, it's a very safe environment and there are very good restaurants around.

We were told to text via WhatsApp for any questions during office hours, which we did but only in 50% of the time we received a reply. The gym and Sauna weren't available due to construction throughout our stay, instead there was only a tiny Sauna with barely enough space for two people sitting. No compensation was offered. If you get the chance have breakfast in a restaurant instead of here as it was bare toast and very few other things. As a vegetarian I had to ask every morning for anything else but meat and sweet spreads even though I announced my dietary needs beforehand. I was offered grated cheese most days. There is a lot of friendly staff (three times more staff than guests) but they seem quite uncoordinated and a lot of times we felt like we interrupted them when we had any requests. In general many standard services have to be individually requested and can't be taken for granted, like the cleaning of the room and towel exchange. All in all, we feel the place has great potential and we're glad we could experience it but we hope some improvements will be implemented over time.

The breakfast area has a stunning view. The free breakfast was delicious.

We liked everything.

The Koi the concept would be nice to book the whole house for an event

Went specifically for sauna ( + watch koi during) but it wasn’t working - jacuzzi a bit dirty . Zero pressure in our shower - woken up early in am cos you can hear every water drop and every footstep from guy upstairs
