The grandeur of the building. The friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Personal attention. Evening meal tadty and good value.
Rooms a bit dark. Bathroom cramped with no shelves. Hanging space in wardrobe too high.

A grand building with a beautiful mosaic entrance hall and stained glass windows. The hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment to bring it back to it's former glory. That does not mean it isn't comfortable but you have to forgive the bits that haven't been done yet! All of the staff members go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and the full English breakfast is not to be missed.
There wasn't anything I didn't like, but bear in mind this is an old building with an interesting history, some area's have still to be refurbished.

Central location but quiet. Spacious room with a good bathroom. Tv was modern and the tea tray well stocked. Everything was clean.
No coathangers or teaspoons in room. Had to request a bathmat and a bedside lamp that worked. The wardrobe felt shoehorned in and the tv blocked the only mirror in the room.

Lovely building. Lovely size room.
Location was brilliant
We had a room with a bath but the taps didnt work. The water from the shower trickled and temperature was hot and cold. Never consistent. WiFi didnt work.
