My stay at El Hotel El Convento was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome with their warm hospitality and outstanding service. The hotel is beautiful, full of history, elegance, and charm, making it a unique place to experience Old San Juan.
The location is perfect—you can easily walk to El Morro, Calle Fortaleza, colorful streets, restaurants, shops, and many of Puerto Rico’s most iconic attractions. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and beautifully maintained, and every member of the staff went above and beyond to make my stay memorable.
The restaurant was excellent, offering delicious food in a lovely atmosphere. I truly appreciated the attention to detail and the relaxing ambiance throughout the property.
If you’re looking for a hotel that combines luxury, history, exceptional service, and an unbeatable location, I highly recommend El Hotel El Convento. It made my visit to Puerto Rico unforgettable, and I can’t wait to return!

The hotel staff were always around to help answer any questions or concerns. The staff worked very hard to make our vacation very relaxing and enjoyable. The free wine and cheese hour from 5pm until 6Pm was an excellent way to relax and meet people staying at the hotel. The free coffee and tea service from 9am until 12pm was very enjoyable. The free bottled water on ice all day helps you stay hydrated. The restaurant served great food and the bar service was excellent. I would highly recommend the El Convento hotel on downtown San Juan, Puerto Rico.
