Quality Inn Mt. Vernon

This is an older property, but it's well maintained. The room and bathroom were very clean, and there were no signs of mildew or mold. The only disappointment was a small roach one night on the bathroom sink. The fridge and microwave were sparkling clean. The bed is showing some age with a bit of creaking as you get in and out. TV is older and does not have streaming services. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise with hot items every day. There were egg patties, bacon, waffles, cereal, and yogurt. Coffee was always hot, and there was plenty of it. Also, the bus to the metro is only a short 10-minute walk. A good economical option for a Washington, DC visit!

It was extremely clean, well maintained. My room was expansive and impressively spacious! I felt safe the entire time. The breakfast wasn't amazing, but it was good. There's a Denny's literally right across the street, so I will never complain about the Quality Inn's breakfast. As a matter of fact, this lodging facility's location is PERFECTLY situated... Walmart, Target, Dollar Tree, 7-11, many restaurants and the DC line are all embarrassingly close! Lastly, the STAFF is the best part of this place. I travel aLOT for work, so I have met many many and much hotel staff members. Some are nice and, clearly, the higher end you go, the better the staff is trained to deliver sterling custom service. This hotel, motel, inn is in the "budget motel" category, yet the staff I encountered present as 5-Star. With the exception of the grouchy overnight deskman, everyone was super nice and helpful. Special shout out to Christy, the GM who saved my life when I was rushing and left my luggage/computer bag there. It would've been a disaster, but she noticed it and stored it for me. I'd been on the road for 2 hours and almost wrecked my car when I realized I'd left it. Frantic, I called and she answered the front desk line. Before I started ranting, she calmly said, "We have your items safe here". It's the most relief I've felt in a long time. I have since stayed there twice and will again in 2 weeks. Angela (front desk) and Teresa (housekeeping) were both divine. 10 stars if I could!!!

The breakfast was excellent.

This hotel was very nice. It looks a little shifty on the outside as if it may not be nice (dirty looking windows and blinds looking outside in). We were pleasantly surprised. The staff was nice. Our rooms were clean and the air worked well to keep us cool during the night. The breakfast was great, bacon, eggs, toast, pancakes etc. The only issue we had was WiFi connection, it was a bit spotty. Other than that, I would recommend!
