Well placed for Paddington it’s a good hub

The bed was a disappointment. A “single” bed that was more akin to a child’s cot. And I was a guest for 4 nights. On the other hand, the location was terrific. Lots of places to eat at all price points.

The room was small but clean.
We arrived in London during the hottest weekend of the year. The room has no air-con so was uncomfortably hot. A small fan was provided.
The hotel is in a great location 10 mins away from Hyde Park.
I'd stay again but not in the heat.

This was another good stay at The Shakespeare, especially for a quick overnight solo stay in London. Good clean small room with bathroom. Had peaceful comfortable sleep and great shower in the morning. I was in Room 421 which is up a lot of stairs, but I didn't mind that and I was travelling light. I'll be back.
