A grand building set off a main road in a quiet village. Good parking in the front with additional parking in the rear if required. Very clean and well decorated in the reception area as well as the bar and lounge. I was warmly greeted and shown to my room. A very tasteful set up with a stylish bathroom. My room gave me a view of the front. The king sized bed allowed for a good night's sleep. There are plenty of dining options just a few miles around with Reading and Basingstoke in close proximity. Breakfast was cooked to order and was made with great ingredients and got my day off to the right start. Would look to stay here again if possible.

A lovely place with a beautiful garden to the rear. Easy to find and very quaint. My colleague and i ate in the restaurant and the food was great.
Highly recommend if staying in the area

Decent but small single room EXCEPT the kitchen vent. All was fine until 7am when it started up like an aero engine and then that wasn't great (that's English for a bit grim). Ensuite is for skinny people only. Very 1980's suite and tiny washbasin squeezed in ext to the shower enclosure. Fan broken so it was quickly like Viet Nam in monsoon conditions in there.
