What a gem! I chose The Tennessean for my first trip to Knoxville to tour UTK with my daughter, and it exceeded every expectation. As a former luxury hotel professional, I can confidently say their standards of service and cleanliness are top-tier.
The entire staff was incredibly courteous and helpful, and the property itself is beautiful, immaculate, and loaded with wonderful amenities. We loved using the gym, and taking their golf cart shuttle to dinner one night was an absolute highlight! The location is truly perfect, offering easy walking distance to local shops, sights, restaurants, and the university.
With my daughter starting graduate school at UTK, I’ve officially found my permanent lodging for all future visits.

From the moment you pull in and your car is parked, the welcoming greeting and the professionalism walking in the door is exceptional. They actually make you feel you are important and welcome and happy to have you. Everybody treats you like a VIP. They go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable, you have everything you need, and happy to answer any questions and make excellent recommendations.
