The staff were very efficient and friendly. Food was excellent Pub area very cozy
Couple of teething problems with the room but staff dealt with it. Thought the room would have been a little larger

Excellent location right in the heart of Cartmel. Nice pub with nice food and lovely staff. Room was nicely decorated and comfortable.
The heating was off and the towel rail was broken, so the towels never dried and the room felt a bit fusty, as it was a rather chilly and damp weekend. Some plug sockets were also broken.

Great location, really nice shower and really comfortable bed. I couldn't get the TV to work late at night and the owner went out of their way to help.
Sadly no parking but the staff told me where I could go and park which was helpful

The location of the pub is fantastic and the staff are friendly, the building is old full of charm and character with uneven floors which I really love, all the rooms are named and themed after writers /poets eg Keats. Beds were comfy with clean sheets and were given good sized towels. Food in the pub is very tasty.
The bathroom had a weird smell like damp and were a little dirty around windows, could do with a lick of paint on the walls and a deep clean. If you want an early night ask for a room at the back of the pub to avoid the people leaving at closing time. (Didn't bother us too much)
