By The Sea Bed and Breakfast

We enjoyed our stay at By the Sea. The owner Matthew was welcoming and friendly and helped us with our luggage to the top floor up two flights of stairs. The whole property was spotless and our room (no 6) was very comfortable with a sea view. The only inconvenience was that we had a bath with a handheld shower head for hair washing not for overall bathing. This was stated on the website, however, and I just hadn’t realised. Breakfast items had to be chosen the night before and there were hot and cold choices. Everything was nicely cooked on the day. I would have liked some preserves for the toast though as well as the butter on offer. Unfortunately there weren’t many restaurants in the vicinity but we did find one fairly near by along the prom which suited our purposes.

We had a fabulous stay. Matthew is a friendly and welcoming host. Room was a good size, as was the bathroom. Had everything we needed, was clean and comfy beds. Breakfast was 10/10, couldn't fault it! Good location, close to the beach, shops and public transport. Would love to stay again!

The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was excellent. The host, Matthew, was very accommodating.
