The Marlin Beachside

We booked at this hotel because it has recently been renovated and had a kitchenette. Rooms are clean and have beach chairs and umbrellas for use, which is nice since it has excellent location by the beach. It said free laundry but the room is locked without access. The bikes are in bad shape and need repair as well. Communication with the office is pretty sporadic as they aren't on site very often or at all?

Friendly and helpful staff. Quick and efficient check in process.

We had an amazing stay at Marlin Beachside Hotel! Everything was spotless and well-maintained, the location was perfect, and the beach was just a short walk away. We also loved that beach chairs, umbrellas, and other beach equipment were available for guests—it made our vacation so much easier. Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing beach getaway!

Caleb was super friendly and made check in/check out quick & easy. We stayed in unit 3 next to the office. The Good: There are plenty of restaurants within a short distance (most you can walk to), the beach is super close, & the room was very spacious. Also, the A/C was amazing & kept the room nice & cold without issues. The beds were comfortable as well. The bad: 1) While this property is advertised as pet friendly, be aware there are literally no grassy areas close by to walk your furry friend. The only small areas available were up the block in front & on the sides of the parking garage. It is nothing but concrete between the rooms & those areas so if your pet needs a potty break during the hot hours of the day, their feet my get burned walking up to the grassy patches mentioned. 2) The room appeared clean at first glance but actually was not. There were quite a few tiny black sugar ants all over the kitchenette area. Again, the floor looked clean but if you walked barefoot on it, after a bit your feet would be black. We had to wear socks inside bc of this & at the end of the day when going to bed, our socks would be dark grey/black on bottom. 3) The glass walk in shower door is not sealed correctly at the bottom so when you shower, water leaks underneath & pools in the bathroom. We had to use the provided beach towels to soak up all the water after every shower. 4) There are only 4 parking spaces available. Everyone else has to use parking garage @ $25 daily.
