Caloura Hotel Resort

This resort and staff went above and beyond. When I tell you I was impressed I mean it! In addition to expected accommodations/amenities, they went out of their way to arrange a thoughtful, elegant, cliffside proposal dinner with a customized a-la-carte meal/wine for myself and my fiancé and had beautiful rose-pedal decor added to our suite timed perfectly after popping the question. Additionally, everyone on staff knew and treated us fondly with congratulations. They also were thoughtful with gestures for my birthday later in the trip with room service gestures. The place has plenty of parking, breathtaking views, peaceful serenity surrounding the pool, an isolated feel that remained plenty accessible to city and exploration. We felt at home and at peace the entire stay and they placed of friends down the hall from us for ease of access! Although there was no spa access here, they arranged reservations at nearby facilities for us to enjoy seamlessly on numerous days. Special thank you to Paula, Sonia, Marina, Milton, Ana Margarida, Ana Sofia, Joana and BOTH Alonsos. This was incredible. The views. The people. I give it my top recommendation

The setting is incredible. The hotel, situated on a cliff, overlooks the ocean, so guest can see the ocean wherever they are. The gardens are beautiful and really well taken care of. The salt water pool is fantastic. Finally, the staff are friendly and extremely helpful.

The view and the staff were amazing, as well as the property location!

Excellent experience at the Caloura! Rooms, lobby, staff, restaurant, bar, pool, setting…Everything was wonderful! Highly recommend! Only issue we had was no spa services. Apparently they could not fill that role on their staff for this summer. My daughter was really looking forward to a spa day and although this was listed on their website, it was not an option. An unpleasant surprise amid an otherwise spectacular experience.
