You couldn't be any closer to the water. The firepit was amazing, and so was the indoor fireplace. The views from the kitchen and living room were also incredible. A very comfortable stay.

The kitchen was small and tight to cook in. However, everything was provided to make meals and we made the best of the tools and hardware provided.

Location was amazing and we enjoyed a remarkable sunset on the beach. Local shops had everything we needed for a delightful one night stay.

We LOVED the view and access to the beach. We had a girls weekend with lots of snacks and down time by the fire. The fireplace was cozy, and outdoor fire pit was a bonus too.

The shower could do with an upgrade however it was fine. The hot water to the outdoor bath stopped working too, but didn’t bother us too much as only wanted a quick soak.

The location is beautiful. Beachfront overlooking Kapiti Island.

The property is advertised as having a fire. However there was no firewood or material to have a fire indoors which in winter is a significant part of the appeal of a beachside cottage. An outdoor bath is also advertised. However it was full of leaves. Did not have a tap that we could see to turn it on and appeared to only have cold water feeding it . The outdoor fire pit did not have any fire wood stacked up or kindling available so it wasn’t easy to use. We were able to light it but we had to search for firewood at the rear of the property. The bathroom is very small and the shower doesn’t have a tray so the water goes all over the floor.
