Roel Boutique B&B

The location in Cospicua is great for exploring historic Malta - not so touristy, but in an interesting neighbourhood and with easy access to the '3 cities' and Valletta. The facilities are excellent - comfy bed, good breakfast with great coffee. Ledia kindly let us use the room until the evening of our departure as we had late flights.

As we stayed for a week, the breakfasts could have been more varied. But there was still a good choice.

This is a family run business and you can feel the care from the first message you receive. The room was absolutely huge, air-conditioned, of course, with a little kitchenette, fridge and coffee machine, so you can be more independent. Huge appreciation for equipping it with EU-compatible sockets, it saved our day! Great location, 10 min walk from the Conspicua port (direct ferry from Valetta, 8 minutes). The hotel itself is rather cute, and if you are suddenly bored, there's a large selection of international books in the lobby (and a chessboard!)

The shower pressure is on a lower side. We also had a power outage of some appliances during breakfast that took two staff members and 20 mins to fix, but I understand this is more of an out of ordinary event.

The location was excellent - quiet and peaceful, yet within walking distance of many cultural, historical, and natural attractions. There were also plenty of small convenience stores, cafés, and restaurants nearby. The breakfast buffet was consistently fresh and delicious, with a wide variety of options, including gluten-free, sweet, and savoury choices, as well as teas, good coffee, and fresh fruit. Even picky eaters could easily find something to enjoy. The staff were exceptionally thoughtful and supportive, always ready to help and offer useful advice. The air conditioning was also good (especially appreciated in the hot weather).

Nothing significant comes to mind. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay throughout.
