Otter Hotel

The staff was courteous, welcoming, and efficient. House keeping was excellent…when we had the do not disturb sign, we were left alone. When we left for the day, house keeping cleaned without moving our personals, which is exactly how we like it. The facilities were clean throughout, rooms-bathrooms-hallway bathrooms-hot tubs and sauna. We had reservations in a nearby town for the second half of our stay, and after seeing the difference, we returned to the Otter for the remainder of our vacation.

The hotel was amazing - amazing location and all amenities were fantastic. Food was really nice and really gave a cabin feel whilst been a luxury hotel.

The staff were at times too efficient ...lack a personal touch which we attempted when arriving. But other than that it was perfect.

We loved the overall look and cleanliness of the property. It was modern and beautiful! We had a really comfortable stay. Our room had a large sitting area near the TV and a kitchen with barstools, along with a balcony with views of the mountains.

The only negative, and it’s not entirely a negative, is that the property is located on the quieter end of the Main Street in Banff. We actually enjoyed the quiet and we liked walking to the restaurants on the other side of town. There was a free shuttle too. Some people may like being in closer proximity to the part of town where more restaurants and shops are.

it’s really expensive and they don’t do room service or have any coffee and tea stations. the bathroom doesn’t have any fans for when you shower or want to ventilate. carpeted so there’s smells and a lot of gnats in our room.
