This was my second time staying in Winfield at the Bird House with my mother. The first time, she and I fell in love with it. And having to make a second trip the next year for a funeral, she wanted to stay there again. We are beyond grateful that we could stay there a second time and it was even more special than the first time. There’s nothing I could say that would do it justice. You just have to experience it and that’s exactly what this is, it’s an experience. The comforts the house brings while you’re taking a step back in time is priceless. So many different parts of the house that you could “stay a while“ all throughout the day and any extra days. The screened in porch where you could lounge all day with your coffee, meander the gardens, listen to the birds is the icing on the most perfect cake. Choose the Bird house… always. See y’all next year. - April

Cozy

Host is great. Home is very comfortable & has just about anything you will need. This was our 2nd stay.

The Bird House was our overflow lodging when our extended family came home to Winfield for Christmas. It was perfect for the needs of a family of four including a one-year-old and a three-year-old. The rooms are large and impeccably clean and they were able to have the baby sleeping in one room while the toddler played in another! Although I didn't stay in the house myself, I was delighted by the fun Christmas decor, and the screened-in porch would be perfect for morning coffee during warmer seasons. The location on Winfield's beautiful residential main street was ideal walking distance to so many places--our house, the college, coffee house, etc. Hattie was wonderful to work with and flexible when we needed to extend the stay an extra day. Highly recommend, and we'll book it again!
