Bungalows Beachfront Hotel

The pool and the location to two lovely and different beaches is the highlight here. The pool is big and has a big screen tv that was great for letting kids clown around while adults could lounge and watch live sports. The adjacent beach is great for kayaking up the river and hiking to the point. You can see sloths, basilisks, monkeys, turtles and all kinds of birds. A short ten minute walk to Arrecife beach gives you access to white sand, snorkeling and great little beach restaurants.

They were very understaffed. While the personnel are nice and helpful there just aren’t enough people to service all the guests in a timely manner. This is a minor inconvenience and did not materially affect our stay. There is also an overly complicated process for paying your open tab at check-out. If we were to do it again, we would not put down the deposit and we would just pay as we went. There was also an excessive mark-up on the colones to USD exchange at check-out.
