Gorgeous property and location but the best part was how comfortable and big the bed was. Lovely to chill in bed and watch the telly. Air conditioning. A cheap breakfast as an optional add on.
Additional cost for coffee.

Breakfast was great and staff were very friendly.

A very comfortable room with a fabulously spacious shared bathroom and shower. The view toward old town Sintra from our balcony was lovely, and we could glimpse the castle high in the distance. Very close proximity to the train station.
It was a little distant from the historic centre of Sintra village, which we just couldn't manage to walk to after a long day of climbing hills at Pena and the Moorish castle. We were, however, happy to be so close for the walk to the Lisbon-bound train station.

Close to train station
I booked a room with a balcony, and the confirmation clearly indicated a room with a shower, with no mention whatsoever of a shared bathroom. Upon check-in, I was surprised to find out that the bathroom was actually shared. When I brought this up to the owner, he deflected responsibility and blamed Booking.com. He did offer a free breakfast to compensate, but since I had to leave early in the morning, I couldn't use it. Overall, a very frustrating experience due to misleading listing details and lack of proper resolution. Not good.
