Amazing staff, clean rooms and amazing stay overall.

It was very hot when sleeping on the top bunk in the non AC rooms because there was no ceiling fan.

I had the most beautiful stay at freedom munroe. Easy to reach from the railways station, the hostel is right beside the lake. Coconut trees all around, cool wind in the afternoon and kites flying make it very pleasant to just do nothing. I looveeedddd swimming in the lake everyday and just relaxing by the hammocks. I lived my village-girl-life by the lake, breaking coconuts, cooking fish, and swimming in open water, looking at the stars whole floating, with some good company. Kayaking, esp the stand up paddle , and cycling was also fun. The village roads are beautiful and the people, friendly. Bindu Chechi happily cooked the best food ever- fish and chicken, idlis and appams and even unniapppam and ela ada and I loved having meals with everyone. And all this was made possible by Abil. Abil is very kind and lovingly took care of every person around him (also made the best kathi rolls for us) and made the hostel environment feel like home and by the end of 10 days, I had no heart to leave. I'm so glad to have come to Munroe and it's waters on my Kerala trip. It was one of my best vacays and the environment left me very nourished :) :) :)

Absolutely pristine space, quite and calming… The community culture around the Hostel made it feel like we are part of a larger family… sunrise, sunset, kayaking, sleeping in the hammocks, cycling, just sitting around and sleeping like a baby was the best part, thanks it’s quite, calm and peaceful spot

Nothing as such, but there is always room for improvement, the road towards the space is dark and bumpy at certain spots but maybe that’s why it’s quite up there… and having a price list for all the experience might have helped to plan things better but nothing is expensive for the value we get so no complaints
