Bright and beautiful cottage which is very well located or in a golden circle and only 20 minutes drive from Reykjavik central. The environment is very beautiful and can be enjoyed in many hike trail around the surrounding area. In Only a half hour walk is up to a very beautiful waterfall called Helgufoss. There is also a lot of experiences that can be accessed here in the area such as horse riding, electric biking and hiking.
The cottage is newly built and everything is new in the house such as home appliances and furniture. We have tried to make the cottage as warm and cozy as we could possibly do. The cottage is about 40 m2 in size and is heated with hot water coming from the geothermal area that are here in the valley.
We have a key box at the front door and we let you know the number of it before you arrive.
We live next door so that access to us is very good if people need our help.

We are against food waste, so we leave all food that is fresh from other guests, along with soap. In this way, we want to be responsible towards the environment and reduce waste and reuse.
Að gefnu tilefni þá langar mig að benda á að þetta hús er eingöngu í skammtímaleigu hér á Airbnb og ekki leigt með öðrum hætti. Íslendingar ef þið viljið panta húsið vinsamlegast gerið það hér en ekki í einkaskilaboðum.

I planned to stay there so we would be away from city lights for a good chance to see Auroras- which did happen one night! We liked the cozy spot, and found our way around Iceland exploring many areas and had a great time!It was not easy to get quick responses back from the host. Another suggestion is to have i structio s typed out for “everything”. We had trouble figuring out the shower, the washing machine, and the TV. It is also very dark there so an outside light would have been helpful, and a nice walkway from the drive way, too!!
