Opposite the property is the Flits Nature reserve that visitors are welcome to explore. A short drive will take you to Brobury House and Gardens, and the National Trust Weir Garden. A great base to explore the Black and White Village Trail of Herefordshire. There are many places of historical interest such as castles, National Trust properties, Dore Abbey, Hereford Cathedral and Mappa Mundi Centre. Golf, fishing, riding and canoeing can all be found locally. It is within an easy drive of Hay-on-Wye, famous for its literary festivals and known as the "Book Capital of the World", with many craft shops and galleries.

Hereford city is just 10 miles away and slightly further afield there are also the popular Herefordshire towns of Ledbury and Ross on Wye, all host a wide array of independent bars, shops and restaurants for guests to enjoy. There are plenty of areas of interest for guests to visit including Hay Castle, Hergest Croft Gardens, or why not take a canoe down the River Wye, a perfect way to take in the breath-taking views of the Wye Valley, so even the most active of guests are well catered for.
