Welcome to Soft Landing! A tranquil tree-lined street in the historical quaint village of Bayfield for your perfect vacation spot. Tucked under a peaceful canopy of trees, this cozy hideaway is a restful sanctuary for up to 7 guest. Perfect for slowing down, recharging, and completely unwind. Enjoy unexpected privacy with a mature treed lot right in your backyard.
Walking distance to beaches and main street to get your fav ice cream!
INSIDE:
Modern 4 bedroom cottage with a kitchen, comfortable family room with dining area, which leads out to the back sunroom with an inviting lounge and an additional dining area to take in the impressive view of the woods! Kitchen has everything that you need to create your favourite dishes: cookware, utensils and small appliances.
OUTSIDE:
Unwind in the backyard amidst the trees! Enjoy reading your favourite book or take a nap on the "lover's bench." Relax with family or friends on the spacious front deck, which boasts a new propane BBQ. Grill up some steaks and when the sun sets, gather around the fire pit for s'mores.
Lake access is a short walk to Tuyll street. he lakebed can be sandy or stoney depending on what the lake gives you that day. But it sure is fun to try to find the ever changing sandbars. Generally you will find sand 3ft out. It's fun to go stone collecting - Lake Huron is a geologists paradise! Just bring some water shoes. The nice thing is, it's not weedy or slimy at all.

Linens are available for $20+hst/per person. This includes Tea Towels, Dishcloths, Sheets & Pillowcases, Bathroom towels, Hand towels and Face cloths. Does not include Beach Towels.
All Guests are required to sign a separate cottage rental agreement and provide government issued photo id. Including names and ages of all guests who will occupy the property. Primary renter must be over 25 photo id is required. Only those occupants listed on the Rental Agreement, are allowed to occupy the property. A separate security deposit of $500 is required. Max occupancy at all times is 7, violation will result in removal without refund.

The pace of life slows down in Bayfield. When you vacation here, it's easy to experience each day to its fullest. Take a 10 minute stroll to village downtown to fine exquisite dining restaurants/bars and cafes, from pub fare to fine dining. Many boutique shops to browse that unique find, or one-of-a-kind art pieces. Or take a bike ride and see the sights of Bayfield, such as the splash pad at Clan Gregor Sq. or Pioneer park for a pickup game of volleyball, or the shores of gorgeous Lake Huron for a beach day and follow up with the best sunsets in Ontario! Bring your kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, boat, hiking shoes and escape to some good adventures and make memories!
Visit during the off-season to catch favorite annual events like VetteFest or for a girl's getaway weekend—we're happy to suggest our favorite local spas, wineries and breweries, shops, and yoga classes.
Bayfield is a "Blue Community" - visitors won't find bottled water in public facilities or at events but they will find a portable refillable water bottle station operated by pedal-power and five water bottle refill stations at public facilities located throughout the village.

Very clean and set up with good amenities. Quiet and cozy spot. Close to everything you need and the little town of Bayfield. Host was very communicative. Pet friendly. We enjoyed our stay.

This was the perfect place for a short getaway to Bayfield. The back (enclosed) porch was the ideal spot to enjoy a coffee, have a conversation, or read a book surrounded by greenery and light filtering through the trees. The whole family could fit around the table in the porch, and my kids also loved that they each had their own room. The property felt very private, all while being a less than 10 minute walk to the main street for dinner, ice cream, or shops. The front deck was also lovely for reading and chatting, and there was just a lot of serene green space.
We also appreciated everything was clean, tidy and convenient, and that there were ample dishes, cupboard room for some groceries, and hooks and drawers to store our things. The communication was great, and we made the most of the suggestions including yoga in the park and some of the walking trails.

We arrived at the cottage pleased to see it was situated in a quiet neighbourhood secluded by trees providing a nature like setting and lots of privacy.
Inside we were greeted with some tasty treats left by our host along with a handy resource manual about the cottage and relevant contact information.
The cottage is exactly as shown in the photos. One bedroom is connected to the master and holds the washer and dryer.
The cottage was fully stocked with everything you could want including books, kitchen supplies, games and beach chairs. The sunroom is great for quiet, cozy mornings where you can watch rabbits and squirrels enjoy their morning breakfast.
It is conveniently located close to the beach as well as upscale stores and restaurants.it was a great place for our family to relax and spend some quality time together.
