If you're in the mood to explore, Away on Allenby is just steps away from some of North Lake Tahoe's amazing hiking and biking trails. You can hit the dirt trails and go exploring, or connect to the paved path that will take you down to the North Tahoe Regional Park, where you'll find a disc golf course, Tahoe Treetop Adventure Park, recreation facilities, and much more. Just west of Kings Beach and running right along the lake, Tahoe Vista is a favorite of outdoor enthusiasts. For lake lovers, kayaking from one of several hidden beaches, or a motorized excursion from the new Tahoe Vista Recreation Area boat launch facility are two Tahoe Vista treats. For landlubbers, the nearby Regional Park sports year-round trailheads for mountain biking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, a disc golf course, nature trails, and sweet swing sets.
In the winter, you are less than fifteen minutes from Northstar California. There, enjoy access to almost 100 trails and over 3,000 skiable acres, impeccable grooming, incredible tree skiing and enough variety to challenge every level of skier. Take advantage of world class terrain parks, cross country skiing, a youth Adventure Park, and a 9000 square foot ice rink surrounded by fire pits and a rink side bar.

5. The use of ANY outdoor firepit or outdoor fireplace is strictly prohibited at all our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping to keep our community safe from wildfires.

Everything was clean, organized and so convenient for our family. I would choose this place again and again. It was great for our kids, our pup, and my wife and I. This house has everything you need and in an amazing setting. Loved it!

Very nice home near kings beach. Clean and have everything for us. The beds is very comfortable. Kitchen has everything we need. The trail behind the house is awesome. Definitely will come back here

We stayed at Away on Allenby in early June and couldn't have asked for a better Tahoe getaway. The cabin is beautifully updated and backs right up to the national forest, making it feel private, peaceful, and perfect for morning hikes straight from the backyard. It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
One of the highlights? We got to see the local legend “Cinnamon” a friendly neighborhood bear who made a memorable appearance during our visit. Between the wildlife sightings, trail access, and comfortable accommodations, this place delivered the full Tahoe experience. Highly recommend!

The place was clean and well-maintained, with fresh towels and linens provided. Check-in and check-out were straightforward and hassle-free, which made the stay convenient.However, the unit felt noticeably smaller than it appeared in the listing photos. We were also disappointed that the hot tub advertised in the listing was not available during our stay. While the property was generally comfortable and served its purpose, the differences between the listing and the actual experience kept it from meeting our expectations fully.
