The Torreón House occupies the tower of the Cortijo del Pino, which was formerly used as a fruit drying room and a dovecote. As a tower, it is located on the second floor, crowning the building. It is structured as a duplex, with a living room featuring an open kitchen, from which a wooden staircase leads to the upper floor. Here you’ll find a spacious bedroom with a sloped ceiling and the bathroom.
It features a private terrace with outdoor furniture and excellent views of the Vega de Granada and the Sierra Nevada.
El Cortijo del Pino is a farmhouse built in the late 19th century. It is located in a farming area 3 km from the city of Granada. The main body of the house has a square floor plan and is arranged around a central courtyard with stone columns. Other structures used for agricultural purposes were added to the main building. The restoration of the house was carried out with the utmost respect for the region’s architectural style, existing materials, and the character of the site. Currently, there are 4 apartments available at Cortijo del Pino, accommodating 2 to 5 people. The interiors feature clay floors, handcrafted tilework, and wooden ceilings, while the exterior includes a garden with a large grove of trees and a swimming pool. There is also a large open space in front of the house that serves as a parking area.
Cortijo del Pino continues its agricultural operations, cultivating a 2-hectare orchard of fruit trees using organic methods; the produce is sold through short supply chains to various consumer groups in the city of Granada. Our guests can also purchase packaged organic products from small-scale farming initiatives in the province of Granada: honey from the Alpujarra, olive oil from Alomartes, jams made from subtropical fruits grown on the coast, preserves from the Poniente region, and dried goods from the Altiplano.
We also have several bicycles available for our customers to use, subject to availability. A bike lane has recently been established, making it possible to ride safely to Granada in just 15 minutes.

Absolutely loved staying here. The apartment had everything we needed. The property and surrounding area was beautiful. Close enough to Granada without the chaos. Concha is a wonderful host.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. Our stay in the tower room exceeded our expectations. The location in the countryside, while being close enough to the city, was the best of both worlds. Concha was a very gracious host and went above and beyond what was expected. Relaxing by the pool for a day was a great way to relax during our tour of Spain. We will definitely try to work this property into our future travel plans.

This is a beautiful apartment for two in the middle of a working fruit farm. The apartment which is on the ‘tower’ has been renovated extremely well. The air con is great for hot days but there is also a wood burning fire if you go in the winter. The terrace provides good views of the surrounding hills and Granada and gets the sun until about 6pm. The pool is surrounded by plants and trees and well positioned for all day sunbathing if that’s what you want to do. From the apartment it is easy to walk/cycle or drive to Granada, the coast and the mountains. The owner is very friendly and although has limited English sufficient to ‘get by’. There is a little shop at the farm selling organic produce which is good for essentials. There are plenty of supermarkets nearby. We would definitely return to this apartment as it has a rustic charm but is well presented with a very friendly and helpful host.

This property is ideal for a relaxing break but is within close proximity to Granada and Sierra Nevada if you wish to partake in varied activities .
Concha and her family are so friendly and welcoming and I would not hesitate to recommend this property .
