Cocoonr is offering this magnificent 55 m² duplex apartment with a sea-view terrace for rent. Located on the 1st and 2nd floors of a typical 19th-century house, it can comfortably accommodate 2 guests. The apartment comprises a living room opening onto a terrace with sea views, a fully equipped kitchen and a master bedroom with en-suite shower room. Casa Ao is situated right on the seafront. Phocéens Beach is located below the house and is just a minute’s walk away.
The accommodation is laid out as follows:
- A living area with a dining area and a lounge with a TV
- A fully equipped kitchen: electric kettle, toaster, microwave, oven, dishwasher...
- A master bedroom with sea views, featuring a queen-size bed (160x200)
- An en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower
Outside:
- A 7 m² terrace with sea views.
- An outdoor garden leading to the kitchen
Location:
By staying at Casa AO, you are choosing a traditional neighbourhood in France’s second-largest city, right by the sea. Heading out to your right, you’ll find the road leading to the Goudes and Callelongue (Calanque Longue) neighbourhoods. Heading out to your left, you’ll reach the city centre via the Bain des Dames and Pointe Rouge beaches and their waterside restaurants. Heading up the street, you’ll reach the Marseillveyre hills and the Pastré countryside with its famous Grotte Roland. A typical neighbourhood sought after for its quality of life, nestled between the city, the sea, the countryside and the hills.
Transport:
Bus No. 19 runs along the top of the street and will take you to the city centre. For a more unusual option, the open-top water bus, running from late April to late September, will take you to the Old Port by sea.
Parking in the surrounding streets is free with no time limit
Saint-Charles station is 45 minutes away by bus (No. 19) and Metro Line 2.
The airport is accessible via a shuttle bus to Saint-Charles station, but we recommend using taxis or ride-hailing services such as Uber.

- Cleaning is included in your stay, and you will find 4* hotel-quality linen at your disposal, with the beds made up on your arrival.

Casa AO is special. Friends and family from Marseille were all astounded by the view and the location. The neighborhood is charming and walkable. It becomes crowded during the day in the summer, but staying at Casa AO means that you are where you want to be, both early and late in the day. This is not a tourist area, so you have to be willing to break the ice with the locals — there is always someone around who speaks English. The entry to Casa AO is fairly far from the street and up one flight of steep stairs, and the bedroom is up a staircase that is also steep and has no banister, so the unit is not for those with mobility difficulties or young children.

Casa Ao The apartment is in a quiet, old residential part of Marseille about 35 minutes from the centre by public transport. Buses are regular and cheap. Within easy walking distance of local shops and sandy beaches. The terrace was a lovely place to sit and watch the sea, unfortunately the sun doesn't really get on it at this time of year. we were met by Valentine who was friendly and helpful. Our only criticism was that, in places, the apartment wasn't as clean as we would have liked. We found dirty plates and had to clear and clean the bottom of the dishwasher before we were happy to use. there were also socks in a cupboard left by previous guests.
