Coming to the Beach you can’t wait for a Little Sunshine to kiss your face & give you that “I’m on vacation” glow. Situated on the 2nd row, you can sit in the Rockers on the Front Deck & watch the waves tumble in & hear them crash onto the sandy shore. Because OKI is a South-Facing Beach, you can watch both the Sunrise & Sunset over the water. Sit back, relax & you may spy Fishing & Shrimp Boats headed in, ladened down with their hulls full & in the distance, possibly even a Container Ship as it begins to make its way from the vast Atlantic to the Port of Wilmington. The Front & Back Decks have a gate to keep curious kids from discovering the downstairs without assistance.
This Open Concept Cottage has been updated with new carpets, fresh paint, new counter tops, new blankets, pillows, bedspreads, updated lighting, brand new smoke detectors, and an additional fan. The Fully-Stocked Kitchen includes Drip Coffee Maker/Slow Cooker/Griddle/Hand Mixer. For inspiration, flip through one of several cookbooks to determine which delicious meal you will prepare next. One of the standouts in the service ware are the beautiful dishes on which to serve your oysters on the ½ shell. Just outside the Kitchen door is a table to serve your dinner Al Fresco. A small propane grill is also on the back deck. A Full-Sized Propane Grill awaits your seafood caught or bought downstairs. You can serve your meals in the open air underneath the cottage at the picnic table. While you are waiting for dinner to be prepared, play a game of Corn Hole on the regulation-sized boards.
Inside, with convenient proximity to the kitchen, is the dining area. Additional seating for 4 at the kitchen bar. Watch your favorite shows on the Large Screen Smart TV in the Living Area. With lots of comfortable seating, you can even watch the waves roll in across the street. The large Coffee Table is perfect for playing one of the various games or assembling a puzzle.
This cottage sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms. Bedroom #1 has an Ocean View, King, Smart TV & Closet for unpacking. Imagine what the heavens would look like if you were able to see them through the decorative telescope. Bedroom #2 has a Queen, a library of Beach Reads, Smart TV & an Armoire. Bedroom #3 has a King, an Ocean View, a Smart TV & a closet. Bedroom #4 is fitted with 2 Twin Beds, a Smart TV & Closet. Pack lighter to leave room for the collection of shells & souvenirs you gathered because there is a Full-Sized Washer & Dryer to keep your bathing suits & towels fresh for the next day. If you wish to hang your towels to dry in the sunshine & smell of the fresh ocean breeze, there is an extendable laundry line downstairs.
Grab a beach read (several of local stories), a cup of coffee or a glass of wine & head downstairs to enjoy the comfortable & roomy Adirondack Chairs, Rocker or curl up on the Bench. Imagine yourself as a character in your book as you smell the salt air & feel the gentle winds off the sea. Have a friendly competition for the best chess or checkers player at the picnic table. After a delicious dinner, gather on the bottom level to watch your favorite movie using the Roku projector on the screened wall. This is definitely a unique feature of this cottage!

Please note: Linens are included with your reservation and your beds will be made prior to your arrival. Also a Welcome Bag will be waiting for you upon your arrival with starter supplies which includes 2 trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher powder, washing machine powder, dish sponge, small shampoo and conditioner with bar of soap, make up remover, and 2 bottles of water.
Pet Policy:
We’re happy to host dogs! Depending on the booking platform, the pet fee may not be included in your total and will be requested separately(airbnb is a seperate fee requested). A non-refundable $200 pet fee (up to 2 dogs, 80 lbs combined) is required and must be paid before check-in—access details will be sent once completed.
Maximum of 2 dogs. Unregistered pets will incur a $200 pet fee plus a $500 remediation fee.
Dogs must be up to date on vaccines and flea/tick prevention. No dogs on furniture or beds (additional cleaning fees may apply). Please bring a crate if needed; there is not one at the property.
Strictly no cats allowed.

We LOVED our stay at Little Sunshine! It was very cozy for our family and we would definitely stay here again in the future. The property was clean and not cluttered with all of the extra kitchen stuff that some rental properties can have. The kitchen was well appointed with the decent knives, pots & pans, and small kitchen appliances. The beds were also decent. Not all of the rooms have dressers, so you may not be able to totally unpack but that isn't a huge problem because there are closets in the rooms without dressers.You can see the ocean from the covered deck and the public beach access is about a block away from the house. There are enough beach chairs and some other beach toys to use so you don't have to pack your own. We used the two beach cruiser bikes a few times as well. There are some other beach equipment/toys that are not in working condition and could be removed, like broken boogie boards or umbrellas. We didn't want to dispose of them since they didn't belong to us. We also tried to play Scrabble but neither game boxes had any letter tiles in them which we thought was weird. One more thing to consider...There is a new property being built on the lot next door. When we arrived, the pile-driver was still on-site and we were woken up on Monday morning at 7a.m. to them placing more stilts for the new house. That was the only day that we were disturbed but we just spent a lot of time on the beach to avoid the noise and shaking of the house.

Great location close to beach access, grocery stores and The Point. Home is as described on VRBO and had everything we needed for our stay except for a beach wagon which we easily rented from local company.
First time working with iTrip through VRBO and they were very good with their communications for property access.
Be prepared for construction on lot adjacent to property which started second to last day of our stay. Kids enjoyed watching the pounding of the support pillars.

Nice property but cleaning crew not up to par. Some steps need some tending to. Bad tv in the bedroom, needs replaced. Terribly uncomfortable beds in king rooms!
Basically nice place with a few little things to tweak as mentioned. Fabulous location
