Sunset Cottage is a spacious 2 bedroom home located in Eben Junction, 20 minutes from Munising MI. Stay at this cozy, cottage away from it all, but only a short drive to visit the Pictured Rocks area. The cottage sits on 27 acres, plenty of space for children to play or walk your dogs. *Dogs MUST be on a leash or tied up at all times! We will ask you to leave if this rule is not followed. Eben Ice Caves are one of Michigan’s prime winter attractions. Each winter, once the ice caves start to freeze up locals and visitor's head out to see the ice caves and, while they're out there, support local businesses like the New Moon Tavern and The Snack Bar Restaurant. This home is fully equipped with everything you need for your vacation, a full kitchen including an industrial size stove, and washer and dryer in the basement. Enjoy a back yard barbeque, relaxing on the deck watching beautiful sunsets over 27 acres, sitting in the sauna, or around the fire roasting marshmallows. This 2 bedroom home sleeps 6 comfortably with 2 queen beds and a sofa pull out bed and if you wanted that camping experience, tents are welcome on the property (limit to 2). This cottage is the perfect home away from home. Pets are welcome and we do require a pet fee. $50/pet plus tax.
**PETS! Airbnb may only charge you for the 1st pet, you will be requested to send an additional $50 plus tax ($53) per pet. Our pet policy is $50/pet plus tax. If Airbnb does not collect this amount you are still responsible. We're respecting your pet, so please respect our pet policy. Clean up after your pet, please do not allow pets on furniture. Please keep kenneled if left alone. If your pet barks when you are gone, please do not leave it alone.

The House was just what e we were looking for a week of family time. Centrally located in the UP with Chatham / Eben Junction co-op, Mama Cow and Snack Bar favorites. Quiet, house will appointed. Second bedroom is a full sized bed instead of Queen was the only bummer.

The house is beautiful and looks just like the photos, with a great, well-stocked kitchen that was easy to use. However, there were a few issues during our stay that made things less comfortable. The listing mentioned two queen beds, but one was actually a double. The water from the well came out brown and gritty for the second half of our stay, and we did see a mouse inside the house. With some attention and maintenance, this could be a really lovely place to stay.

We loved the outdoor space and fire pit, although we had to buy firewood even though the photos implied it was provided. The privacy was great and road noise was not bad. The house is ok and met our needs. I’d suggest you bring your own coffee mug as those in the house are way too large and cumbersome.
