You need only walk one block north to find sand, surf, and endless sunshine when you escape to Manning's Landing, a three-bedroom home near the shore in Kill Devil Hills.
This elevated home is close enough to the beach that you can stroll home at lunchtime, rinse off in the enclosed outdoor shower, and prepare a homemade meal in the well-appointed kitchen. There's ample space to dine at the island breakfast bar, the adjacent dining nook, and the shaded picnic table under the house. There you'll also find a storage area with a washer/dryer for your swimsuits and ample space to store your fishing rods, beach chairs, or bikes.
Back upstairs, you can bring a cold drink outside to the deck, kick back in the comfort of central air-conditioning, or gather in the living area for a card game or a movie on the smart TV. Two of the bedrooms have TVs as well.

This place is perfect. Short walk to the beach. Everything is clean and works as it should. The porch at night or the patio is an awesome experience. You can hear the ocean from the house. It’s on a quiet street with minimal traffic. Food lion or Publix is literally a block away. I love this place and will return no doubt. The only part I did not like was that Vrbo automatically charged a pet fee, and I don’t have a petEither way. I would rent this house 1000 x.
