Hotel ORJEN sport & pleasure

Excellent breakfast included....good choices of eggs, cheeses, fruits, bread/pastries and cereals. The location was excellent. Short walk over the bridge to the old town and downtown. Located along the river walk. I appreciated being able to use a gym as well. The gym as well as the hotel itself was spotlessly clean! The gym was never crowded and had cardio and weight machines and a room for stretching. The second floor was a free weight area. The locker room is small but you shower and change in your hotel room. I found the staff, especially front desk and waiters all to be very welcoming.

The hotel is not a spa, it's a sports hotel. There is no jacuzzi and the pool requires swimming cap for men and athletic style swim suit. Pool is for lap swimming and water polo.

The hotel is new, everything is clean, and the food is decent. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, and they deserve full praise for their service.

However, there are a few things that could be improved. The ventilation is very noisy, possibly due to a central fan somewhere in the hotel, as the noise seems to travel through the ventilation system. The beds and bedding are new and clean, but the mattresses are extremely firm and uncomfortable. Another downside is that all services are charged separately, meaning you cannot simply charge drinks or food to your room and pay the bill at checkout. Instead, you have to pay immediately for each purchase. The biggest issue for me, however, was the parking. Some guests, apparently locals, parked carelessly outside the marked spaces, often near the grass, which repeatedly blocked my car and made it very difficult to get out. On the day of our departure, a car was parked directly in front of the hotel exit path, forcing us to carry our suitcases across the grass. I believe installing a parking barrier would help prevent this kind of misuse and ensure that parking spaces and access routes remain clear. Overall, the hotel has great potential, with new facilities, good cleanliness, and genuinely excellent staff. However, the noisy ventilation, uncomfortable mattresses, and poorly managed parking negatively affected our stay.
