Brilliant location just at the top of the main street, and such a reasonable price for somewhere so central. Nice and spacious, comfy sofa, all fixtures and facilities nice and modern and clean. Really powerful shower which was great.
For me personally the bed was a bit firm but that's just my preference. Absolutely not The Retreat's fault but town parking is really expensive, so plan for that when visiting.

Can't fault the location. ... perfect.
Not Knowing that the front door was further down the passage. I tried the first door, which was wrong, and I thought I had a problem until I thought to try further down.
There was a big textured cover on the sofa that didn't smell clean. The floors are very uneven, I had to remind myself to be careful.
The bed was firm, which was OK, but lumpy old pillows.
