Über diese villa dieses Ferienunterkunft
A rare heritage stay by The Halo Collection - high ceilings, original details, and a private courtyard escape in the heart of Athens.
Step inside The Silk House - a lovingly restored 1930s neoclassical residence in Metaxourgeio, one of Athens' most vibrant and culturally rich neighborhoods. Part of The Halo Collection, this two-level home is a rare find: original architectural character meeting thoughtful modern comfort, steps from the city's historic heart.
The home
Spread across two levels, Silk House sleeps families, couples, and small groups in three distinct bedrooms. The main level features a spacious master bedroom with soaring ceilings, an elegant chandelier-lit living room, and a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. The lower level offers two additional bedrooms, a modern shared bathroom, and a compact secondary kitchen - ideal for longer stays or remote work.
Private heated plunge pool & courtyard
A true rarity in central Athens. The enclosed private courtyard is your calm within the city - a heated plunge pool, outdoor seating, and intimate atmosphere perfect for morning coffee, afternoon sun, or evening gatherings under the Athens sky.
Architecture & design
Built in the 1930s, the home represents a transitional moment in Athenian architecture - neoclassical elegance meeting early modernist simplicity. Original ceiling details, generous proportions, and soft natural light have been carefully preserved. Climate control, updated bathrooms, and contemporary kitchens integrate seamlessly without disturbing the home's soul.
Location: Metaxourgeio, Athens
Metaxourgeio is Athens' creative quarter - art spaces, independent cafés, galleries, and local tavernas are your neighbors. The Athens city center, Kerameikos, and Monastiraki are minutes away. Transport links make day trips to the Acropolis, Piraeus, or beyond effortless.
