The Gem Stansted

Extremely well appointed and very clean. Smashing friendly staff. Nice bar to round off the day with a drink. Lovely breakfast.

We would definitely stay there again, however, NOT in Room 3. It looks wonderful with the central old brick chimney, which is a lovely feature but the room overall is just not practical. The massive stand-alone bath has nowhere to put anything, including a towel, (drag up a chair to drape the towel over) the shower is almost impossible to maintain the correct temperature. There's shortage of drawers, cupboards and anywhere to put anything. Whoever designed this room has obviously never stayed in it.

I did not have the breakfast this time as last time it was undercooked and not acceptable

The rooms have no electrical sockets to plug in an I phone to recharge the room was a bit scruffy around the bath

Beautiful property & very clean. The staff were great & attentive. It was quiet & I slept very well. Only a short train journey to Stansted airport. About half an hour in a taxi.

Good location for our needs. Pleasant bar area and bar staff.

Policy dictated that room available from 1500. Ɓut could be1400 if supplement of £15 was paid. No car parking. Lights in room not working. No separate bathroom.....bath in bedroom with shower buut no shower cap.
