We arrived later than planned and, to make things more challenging, I lost my way trying to find the location. Luckily for us, our host was extremely helpful, texting us detailed directions and even waiting for us on the street to make sure we found our way. We were stopping in Matera for just one night before continuing on to Lecce for a week-long stay, and we had quite a bit of luggage with us. Parking was no issue, as Rosalia kindly made the arrangements on our behalf. Our heavy luggage presented a bit of a challenge with the stairs, but it was not much of a problem, especially with Rosalia and Tina there to lend us a hand. The rooms are even better than the beautiful pictures suggest. The location is amazing, and we were still able to enjoy the rest of the evening exploring the town. Our group also thoroughly enjoyed the fabulous breakfast the next morning. As an added bonus, we were able to explore a little more after check-out knowing that our belongings were safely secured. Marcelo provided us with a key to open gates into the premises so that we can freshen up, retrieve our luggages and leave for our next destination. Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay at Corsocentodue. It also received the seal of approval from some very uncompromising critics—my wife, sisters, and their husbands!
