Urban Purple, named for its softly glowing purple tones, is a calm one-bedroom base in Rethymno for a couple, whether for a short city break or a longer stay.

The space (46 m², sleeps 2): one quiet bedroom with a double bed, which stays warm in winter and cool in summer; a living room open to the kitchen, with a TV; and one bathroom with a shower, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body soap. Bed linens, towels, extra pillows and blankets are provided.

Practical points: a hair dryer, an iron and ironing board, a safe, clothing storage and a balcony, where smoking is allowed (never inside).

You will have the entire apartment to yourself, plus the building`s shared amenities. The apartment has its own private entrance, and self check-in is available from 16:00, with video instructions for the entrance provided. Check-out is by 10:00. Early check-in or late check-out may be possible, subject to availability.

We are just a phone call or message away during your stay, and how much we interact is entirely up to you. Our service desk is available daily from 09:00 to 18:00, with extended hours of 07:00 to 23:00 from April to October. No one lives on site around the clock, but if anything comes up we will do our best to sort it out as soon as possible.

Urban Purple is in a quiet residential part of Rethymno city, near the Old Town but away from its humidity and noise. The main sights are about 1.5 km away, the beach about 1.4 km away for relaxing and water sports, and a supermarket about 700 m away, with a pharmacy about 300 m from the door. The hospital and the Municipal Garden are close by, and the city is known for its culinary experiences and entertainment.

A bus station is within easy walking distance, and a car is not necessary for exploring the city. If you arrive by car, there is free street parking around the building; there is no on-site parking. Approximate road distances: Chania airport approx. 65 km, Chania port (Souda) approx. 50 km, Heraklion airport approx. 85 km and Heraklion port approx. 80 km.

Please remember that you are staying in a home, not a hotel. Smoking is allowed on the balcony only, never inside. Parties, events and pets are not allowed, and quiet hours are 23:00 to 08:00, as this is a residential neighbourhood with year-round neighbours. Please keep windows and balcony doors closed while the air conditioning is on. Hot water is switched on at the main electrical board and is ready in about 20 minutes. For stays of up to 7 days, cleaning with fresh towels and amenities is provided every 4 days; longer stays include a full clean every 7 days. Greek law requires ID details for all guests.

THE BUILDING

· Quiet hours: 23:00–08:00. We are in a residential neighbourhood and our neighbours live here year-round. Please keep noise to a minimum, especially on the balcony and in the stairwell.
· Please dispose of rubbish in the municipal bins before departure.

GENERAL

· Please report any damage or malfunction to our service desk immediately.
· Hot Water: To turn on the hot water, please check the main electrical board for the fuse with the grey button. Press the grey button, and the water will heat up automatically within approximately 20 minutes.
·The cleaning schedule is as follows:
For bookings of up to 7 days, the cleaning lady comes every 4 days and provides fresh towels and amenities.
For bookings longer than 7 days, the cleaning lady provides a full cleaning once every 7 days, in addition to fresh towels and amenities.
· Guests are responsible for the keys. A replacement fee applies for lost keys. If you are locked outside, please call the locksmith at +30 697 405 4000.
