Sheraton Cavalier Calgary Hotel

Delish

Location perfect for our family who flew to Calgary but hired a car. Lots of parking. Room large. Bed large. Restaurant area very nice and we had a very good breakfast on one of our last days there. Pool /slides excellent for families . Although busy and needed to be larger when families were there in the school holidays it was a great facility.

We requested many months in advance that the 2 rooms be next to each other as we stayed nearly a week and easier for extended family. We were on the same floor but our room was at one end of that long floor and the other at the other end. We asked for this to be rectified but this was only possible after a couple of days after most people had left after a weekend . We then did get rooms next door to each other which was good. We had an email with our request months before arriving but were told the member of staff had left.

I am surprised that the hotel is open in that evacuation procedures in the event of a fire were terrible. Only one of three elevators were working, and the stairs to the bottom floor were locked in the ground floor pub. If a fire department represented were aware of the lack of fire egress protocol I'm sure the hotel would be closed down. Sheridan Cavilar better get there stuff together. OK hotel, terrible customer support.
