We loved how friendly and welcoming the hotel was. Being congratulated on our honeymoon made our stay feel extra special. The location is fantastic — close to great restaurants and Pier 39, all within easy walking distance. It was perfect as a base to wash, sleep, and head out to explore the city.
The building is a bit dated and there’s no air conditioning, but it honestly didn’t affect our stay. The noise levels can be a little high, but that’s expected given how central the hotel is.

Great location. Old North Beach Charm embracing the beatnik era. The rooms reflect the same 60s vibe. Very personable staff. Well maintained.
There were stairs to get to the lobby. May not be appropriate for those with mobile disabilities. If you have a vehicle, you must find your own parking.

Location was great. Staff lovely. Comfortable bed.
No tea coffee facilities in room. No kettle. Room was way too small. Very small bathroom. No where to put your toiletries. Had to carry suitcases up flights of stairs. Noisy in early hours of the morning.
